Jennifer’s story

I have been a nurse in the NHS for twenty years, and have worked in many of the different departments including intensive care units, operating theatres and cancer wards. In my time in these environments, it has been very important to keep the surgical instruments and surfaces clean and disinfected. If this is not done regularly and thoroughly with the right products, then the risk of vulnerable and weak patients catching infections in the hospital is high. There are many different infections that can be caught by patients and they can be fatal. At most risk are the very young, the elderly and the weak.

They are not used everywhere in the hospitals, because other cheaper products are generally good enough. But in intensive care for example, where patients are extremely vulnerable, weak and highly susceptible to catching infections, they are used to great effect.
