‘The elderly are
especially vulnerable to
C. diff infections when
they have been taking
antibiotics. The
antibiotics upset the
natural balance of
“good” bacteria in the
gut and C. diff can
flourish. The Deeper
Clean products can be
used to kill the C. diff
spores in the
environment around the
vulnerable person to
prevent re-infection...’

But they are not only found in
hospitals. They are found in
the home too. Tristel’s range

home and baby, kills what
other disinfectants can’t, so

Jennifer's story
‘I have been a nurse in the NHS for twenty years, and have
worked in many of the different departments including
intensive care units, operating theatres and cancer wards. In
my time in these environments, it has been very important to
keep the surgical instruments and surfaces clean and
disinfected. If this is not done regularly and thoroughly with
the right products, then the risk of vulnerable and weak
patients
catching infections in the hospital is high. There are
many different infections that can be caught by patients and
they can be fatal. At most risk are the very young, the elderly
and the weak.

‘The most effective cleaning disinfectant products that I have
used have got to be the Tristel products. They are easy to
use and they kill all the superbugs in the environments I have
worked in. They are not used everywhere in the hospitals,
because other cheaper products are generally good
enough. But in intensive care for example, where patients
are extremely vulnerable, weak and highly susceptible to
catching infections, they are used to great effect. Tristel
products are now available for the public to buy and I would
highly recommend using them when someone in the family
is really ill, especially if they are very young or old. They can
be used safely on all hard surfaces. ’
