Support and advice for people affected by C.diff

The www.cdiff-support.co.uk web site and support group was set up by Graziella Kontkowski. Her grandmother died after she contracted Clostridium difficile following a hospital admission to treat a urine infection.

Graziella had never heard about C.diff before and was not given any information from the hospital about it. In her experience the hospital seemed to play the whole thing down until they had an outbreak. Even in the outbreak situation the hospital did not give adequate information to patients or visitors. Graziella watched her grandmother slowly slip away without being able to do anything. These events inspired her to set up this support group to help and support families who have been affected by C. diff, and to try and raise awareness about this terrible bug.
